Christmas Draw
Our Christmas Draw in aid of club development took place last Saturday January 6th. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that bought tickets and in particular to all our committee members for selling tickets and supporting our draw which was a huge success. Congratulations to all the winners and happy new year to all.
1st prize €3000 –Paddy Lynam
2nd prize €1000 – Aiden & Hannah Tuite
3rd prize €500 – Catherine Staunton
5 x €100 prizes: Owen Walters, George Hatton, Gary Connaughton, Conor Murray and Declan Leonard
All Ireland Club Junior Club Semi-final
We were both delighted and proud to be in a position to hold the All Ireland Junior Club Semi-final between Arva (Cavan) and Milltown (Kildare) last Saturday. Again it is thanks to the wonderful volunteers of the club to make the event run so smoothly and to showcase the wonderful facilities we have here in The Downs. Congratulations to Arva on their win and best of luck to them in the final against Listowel Emmets
AMass for Deceased Members
Reminder that Petitions will be presented and prayed for by Fr. Tom Gilroy at our Mass for all of the deceased members this Wednesday night Jan 10th in the clubhouse. All donations received will go towards the upkeep of Coralstown church and graveyard.
Club Calendar 2024
Our Club Calendar for 2024 is now available. We extend our gratitude to all our sponsors for their continued generosity and support in this venture. Calendars can be picked up in Mullingar Pewter, A&J Newsagents Coralstown and Egan’s Rathconnell Service Station while stocks last. Calendars are €3 each or 2 for €5.

The Downs Litter Pick
Calling all members of The Downs community for a litter pick of the area this coming Saturday at 10 a.m. starting at the clubhouse. Litter pickers, gloves and rubbish bags will be provided. Your help and volunteering is much appreciated.
Sympathy
The Downs GAA Club extends their sincere sympathy to the Edel Corcoran and extended family on the death of her husband Noel O’Brien, late of Lyrath, Kilkenny formerly of Kilree, Bennetsbridge.

Congratulations to Kinnegad GAA on the opening of their new gym. We were delighted to be invited to the official launch and were very well represented in a friendly gym challenge by Senior players Ben Harte, Ryan Briody and Ladies Senior player Aoife Rowan. A great evening was had by all.
