Please see below, the new arrangement for processing the player’s Injury Scheme. Essentially it means that from 1st of June 2025, players will have to manage their own injury claim through Foireann. Parents/Guardians will need to process claims for those under 18.
It’s essential that all players are registered on Foireann in order to make a claim. Foireann membership is managed by the club Registrar once you have completed your annual membership on ClubZap. Please note that claims cannot pre-date membership on Foireann for the calendar year.

Please immediately inform your team coach and the Club Chairperson\Secretary of any injury sustained relating to club activities that may result in a claim.

Submitting a New Claim (for injuries on/after 1 June 2025)
All claims must be successfully submitted on the Foireann system within 60 days of injury occurrence.
Log in to https://www.foireann.ie → “Injury Fund” → “New Claim”.  The injured player (or their parent if U18) must log in.
Upload medical receipts and complete the short form.
Keep originals for your own records.

Outstanding claims (injuries before 1 June 2025)
Continue to send paperwork to your Club Injury Fund Officer as before.
All documentation for those injuries must be lodged no later than 31 July 2025.

Once a player\parent submits a claim, the Club Injury Fund Officer will receive an alert on Foireann to verify club membership and playing status.
