 Underage Results

The U12 Black squad had a mixed bag of results over the weekend. St. Lomans came to visit on Friday evening with a strong travelling team overcoming The Downs on a very warm evening for football. On Sunday morning they then travelled to Kinnnegad GAA for round 2 of the weekend. The lads turned in a terrific performance kicking some wonderful scores and putting some slick moves together against a very organised Kinnegad side. Well done to all involved. The amber team had one fixture facing a very strong Athlone side with Athlone defeating the young Downs side in emphatic fashion. Well done to all involved in organising the three games.

The U16’s played Killucan in The Downs on Saturday evening last emerging as victors by the narrowest of margins. Final score: Killucan 5-07 The Downs 4-11. The final round of the league will be this Monday away to Kinnegad. Best of luck to all.

LGFA Results

The U14 girls Division 4 side travelled to our neighbours Mullingar Shamrocks on Tuesday evening last. Our girls battled hard but were second best to a very strong Mullingar Shamrocks side.

The U12 squad travelled to Athlone on Tuesday evening for a competitive evening of football with a great display by the two sides. The trip to McDonalds after being the highlight of the night. Well done to all.

Our U8/U10 girls had a great morning out in Clonmellon on Saturday where St. Pauls Delvin hosted the most recent Go Games. There were some great games played in the beautiful sunshine showing the progress being made with these young ladies, Thanks to St. Pauls for being wonderful hosts as usual.
