Underage Results
Both our U12 teams were in action this week. The black team at home to Coralstown Kinnegad and the ambers away to CFCW on Friday evening simultaneously. Both teams put in strong performances displaying the club’s strength at this level. Well done to all involved.
The U14 amber squad travelled to Ballynacrrigy for the first round of the Division 4/5 championship. They were up against a very strong Inny Shamrocks side. Despite a good first half performance, Inny were the stronger team in the second half and ran out winners in comprehensive fashion. Hard luck lads.
Our minors left with a share of the spoils against Caulry away from home last Thursday evening in the first round of the Division 1/2 of the minor champsionship. Final score 1-11 to 1-11.
LGFA Underage Results
Our U8 and U10’s were in action in Mullingar Shamrocks for the most recent Go Games With two teams in each age group we played Mullingar Shamrocks Ballycomoyle and Castledaly in some great games of football. Thanks to Mullingar Shamrocks for their hospitality as always.
Our U14’s opened their Division 2 championship campaign against Cill Óige at home on Thursday evening last. In a very competitive game our girls came out the right side of this encounter on a score-line of 7-03 to 4-07. Well done to all.
Our U16 girls contested the Division 3 League final last Sunday against St. Josephs in Mullingar Shamrock’s Springfield. Despite a valiant effort our girls came out second best to a very strong St. Joseph’s side. Well done to all on a good league campaign despite the final result.
