On Tuesday May 27th the Division 3 team maintained their Division 3 status with a hard fought draw away to Kilbeggan. Congratulations to all involved. Final score KIlbeggan 2-11 The Downs 0-17

On Tuesday the Division 1 team were at home to Tyrellspass. The Downs were the better team on the night overcoming Tyrellspass in this final game of the league. That concludes the league for all teams.

Under 8’s

The U8’s management team were delighted to be able to field three teams in their most recent Go Games last Saturday. This gave the younger lads a great opportunity to express themselves and dig in. Some great scores were on display but more impressively the work rate from all involved was the real winner. Na Dúnta Abú!!

Congratulations

We had two weddings in The Downs over the last couple of weeks. Firstly, we congratulate former senior ladies’ player Sarah McGuire to Derek Healy.

Secondly, we congratulate the club secretary Shane Carroll on his marriage to Hannah Heduan. We wish both couples a lifetime of health and happiness.
