THE DOWNS GAA NOTES                                         Jan 23rd 2023

Underage Medal Presentation

The first of our medal presentations took place last Saturday January 21st in the clubhouse with our underage winners receiving their medals following their successes during the year. Our U16 and minor girls as well as our U15, U17 and U19 boys all received medals on the night with food provided for all attendees afterwards. Many thanks to the Senior Men’s players Mark Kelly, Luke Loughlin Ian Martin, Kevin O’Sullivan and Dean Clarke for presenting the medals and also to Senior manager Lar Wall for his presence on the night. Many thanks to all the coaches for their organisation of teams and their kind words for their players. It was wonderful to see so many underage boys and girls being rewarded for their achievements marking a very successful year for the club. A great might of celebration was had by all. Special mention to Underage Chairman Paddy Kenny for leading the preparations and to all the volunteers that helped on the night. Congratulations to all involved.
