The minor final between The Downs and Mullingar Shamrocks was moved to Lakepoint Park at the earlier time of 12.15 p.m. at the eleventh hour last weekend. This move was made to protect the surface of TEG Cusack Park due to immense pressure from the elements and the volume of games played in the county headquarters recently. Mullingar Shamrocks just had too much for The Downs on the day despite a valiant effort. Shamrocks picked up the trophy for 2025 and were deserving winners. Hard luck to the entire minor panel and their management.
Senior Final 2025
In the much anticipated senior final of 2025, The Downs took on Coralstown Kinnegad for the Flanagan Cup. After a titanic battle in which The Downs were pushed all the way, Luke Loughlin and Ian Martin deservedly accepted the cup on behalf of their team mates. Congratulations to Dermot Power and his management team on a magnificent win.

The Downs Junior B team followed up last weeks win with another win against Milltownpass last Friday at home on a score-line of The Downs 1-18 Milltownpass 2-12. Well done lads.
